Nearby
While we know that there is plenty to keep you entertained within the cabin, you’ll also be close to:
3.9 miles away or an 11-minute drive to Lake Laura. The lake features a small hiking trail that wraps around the entire lake. Lake Laura is beautiful any time of year. During the warmer months, you can rent paddleboats, paddleboards, kayaks, and tubes from the Beach Shack located on the lake.
Bryce Resort is only a mile or 4-minute drive, offering winter sports, mountain biking, an 18-hole golf course and a scenic lift. Weather permitting, the facility is open year-round. During the winter, you’ll find skiing, snowboarding, ice-skating, and snow tubing.
If you’re in the mood to really explore everything the surroundings have to offer, we recommend exploring:
Kennedy Peak Trail, offering 360 views from a fire tower at the summit (47 min drive).
For a lower intensity activity check out Cave Ridge Vineyard (22 mins) for a local glass, or bottle, of wine.
Swover Creek Farm Brewery (20 mins) for a pint and a farm to table sausage or wood fired pizza.
If you’re in the mood for a half day or a day trip, Harrisonburg (47 min), Luray Caverns (44 min), and Shenandoah National Park (56 min) are all just the right amount of road trip away!
